Live In Purpose

We all have incredibly busy lives. We are constantly on the go, connecting, talking, and updating ourselves on social media. Sometimes, our lives can feel noisy and congested. Problems can cloud our judgment, how we feel about ourselves and the world around us. I am here today to remind you that each and everyone one of us has a purpose- a purpose greater than ourselves. Every single thing you are going through is meant to happen so you can break through to who you want to become. There are so many lessons in the pain we experience. If only we would change our perspective on the situation we could see that we are so much bigger than the problems we face. We are powerful beyond measure.
WHEN YOU FEEL YOUR BONES WEAKEN
YOUR SPIRIT SMELLS OF DEFEAT
WHEN YOUR KNEES FEEL AS THEY HAVE SHATTERED
LIKE SHARDS BENEATH YOUR FEET
JUST REMEMBER TO HOLD YOUR GROUND FOR THE WOMAN YOU NEVER MET
INTERLOCK ARMS WITH THE WOMEN YOU COULD NEVER FORGET
MY DARLING, HOW COULD YOU EVER FOR A SECOND THINK THAT THIS LIFE WAS JUST ABOUT YOU?
AS IF I HADN’T PLANTED THOSE SEEDS IN YOU TO WATCH YOU BLOOM
AS PAULO SAID, “LOVE ARE DUNES, NOT DOOMS.”
YOUR LOVE IS SERVED ON COACH, NOT FIRST CLASS
YOUR LIFE WAS NOT MEANT TO BE LIVED HALF ASS
YOUR LOVE IS NOT SELECTIVE
YOU HAVE THE GIFT OF A VOICE
AND THE ABILITY TO CONTROL
YET YOU CHOOSE TO ENROLL ONLY FOR THE PAYROLL
WHEN YOU STOP WORKING TO PRODUCE THEIR COAL AND GIVE YOURSELF A GOAL
THEN YOU WILL REALIZE YOU HAVE MORE TO DO THAN PLAY ROLE
YOU HAVE THE POWER OF SOUL
We all make a choice. We choose to live our life in faith or in fear. Choosing faith doesn’t mean you don’t have fears, it just means you don’t let them stop you from accomplishing any goals you have set for yourself. You are 100% capable of living a life full of value. You are not meant to give your energy to things you don’t care about. You aren’t meant to “kinda” care about your career, your home, your life. You are meant to dive head first into passion and possibilities. I wrote this poem when I was in a tough place and it helped me remember that I am living and fighting, not just for me but for a bigger purpose. I have a duty as a role model to so many young women around me. I constantly remind myself that I have to give love to myself the way I want other women to love themselves and each other. I hope this poem helps you like it did for me. Please remember, you can choose the life you want at any moment. It all starts with your mind and a choice.
